Truck and Van Wraps in Athens, GA: Lettering, Partial or Full Wrap?

White and blue Ford Transit van wrapped by 1st Chance Graphics for Athens Ford Wholesale Parts

Your work truck goes everywhere your customers are. Job sites in Five Points, the drive-thru line on Atlanta Highway, a driveway off Prince Avenue. Every one of those stops is a chance for somebody to remember your name and your number. A plain white truck wastes all of them.

We’re 1st Chance Graphics, a family shop in Bogart, about 10 miles from downtown Athens. We design, print and install vehicle wraps in-house. Here’s how Athens business owners usually decide what to put on their truck.

Three ways to wrap a work truck

Most jobs fall into one of three levels. We call them packages, but every one is designed around your vehicle and your logo.

Lettering and spot graphics (The Minimalist)

Your logo on the doors, your name and services down the side, and your phone number, website and a QR code on the tailgate or back doors. It’s the fastest way to turn a personal truck into a work truck, and it’s easy on the budget.

Partial wrap (The Glow Up)

A partial wrap covers the back half of the vehicle or the bed in your brand colors and lets the factory paint do the rest. You get a big logo, your contact info and a QR code, and the truck reads from down the road.

Full wrap (The Show Off)

Every painted panel, covered. Color fades, big graphics and your logo on every side. This is the one people point at in traffic, and it’s the best fit for fleets that need every truck to match.

Which one fits your business?

  • Just starting out or just bought the truck? Start with lettering. You can add a partial wrap later without starting over.
  • Want to stand out without paying for a full wrap? A partial wrap gets you most of the attention for less vinyl.
  • Running a fleet or building a brand people recognize? Go full wrap and match every vehicle.

Still not sure? Send us a photo of your truck and we’ll tell you what we’d do with it.

What a wrap job looks like at our shop

  1. Send us your vehicle. Year, make and model, plus a photo if you have one.
  2. Sign off on the design. Our designer lays out your wrap on your actual vehicle. Nothing prints until you approve it. Design is a separate fee from the wrap itself, and it’s included in your quote.
  3. We print it here. Every panel comes off our Roland wide-format printer on premium vinyl with an overlaminate on top, so it stands up to Georgia sun, rain and pollen for years.
  4. We install it. Drop the vehicle off at our Bogart shop, or we can install on-site for fleets. Most wraps are finished within a week of your scheduled drop-off.

Real work: the Athens Ford Wholesale Parts van

Athens Ford’s parts van is a good example of a wrap that works hard. The rear doors carry a big Ford oval and the Athens Ford Wholesale Parts logo. The sides mix white and two shades of blue with the partner brands their customers look for, and the phone number shows up on the doors and the back. You can read it from across a parking lot, and it looks like it belongs to a company that has its act together.

Keeping a wrap looking new

Hand washing is best. If you use a pressure washer, keep the nozzle back from the edges and seams. Park in the shade or a garage when you can. We’ll walk you through the details when you pick up your truck.
